Cllr
Neville advised that following the Council’s letter of the 14th
November to Hampshire County Council an extension had been granted until
the 7th January to allow time for the formal response to be made by Kingsley
Parish Council.
Cllr Rigden reported on the East Hampshire Workshop meeting he and Cllr
Herbert had attended on the 22nd November at which presentations had been
made by HCC and Tarmac followed by a Q & A session and Workshop groups.
Points raised during the presentations included the Consultation Timetable,
Apportionment Reviews and Rates of Production. Points raised from the
workshops included issues concerning the effects on the Landscape, Nature
Conservation, Archaeology, Historic Buildings, Hydrology, Proximity of
Residential Properties, Recreation and the overall Cumulative Impact all
of which will be assessed during the development of the Submission. All
issues raised at the workshop would be collated and circulated to all
present.
The following answers were given to questions from members of the Public.
1. Cllr Neville detailed the Consultation Timetable as follows:
- 31st October to 12th December 2007 – Regulation 26 : first statutory
consultation
- October 2008 - Regulation 28: submission to Government and second statutory
consultation.
- Spring 2009 - Public examination.
- Summer / Autumn 2009 - Receipt of Inspectors Report.
- Winter 2009 - Adoption by minerals authorities.
2. The Clerk was requested to contact HCC to see if the 7th January extension
would apply to members of the Public.
3. Cllr Neville confirmed that Kingsley Parish Council was firmly opposed
to both sites, east and west of the village.
4. Letters from individuals carried more weight than a petition.
5. Information on previous planning applications, Inspectors reports and
working conditions were available from the Clerk.
Cllr Neville asked councillors to assist in distributing a notice to each
household in the village detailing the proposed threat and the correct
procedure to object to plans.
