Planning Breaches/Statutory Nuisances
The council's policy is not to respond to reports of planning condition breaches and/or statutory nuisances unless we are able to identify the complainant. This policy was adopted to avoid frivolous or malicious complaints and to ensure that such reports are legally acceptable as evidence of such breach/nuisance.

When making a complaint, you must identify yourself to the Parish Council but, if you do not wish your name to be used in further proceedings, the Parish Council will investigate your complaint and, if upheld, the Parish Council will itself report the matter to the relevant authorities.

This policy is also adopted by the District Council's Planning Enforcement Department as well as other enforcement agencies.
